Local homes are featured in Christmas at Our House
Four homes in the Los Gatos/Monte Sereno area are featured this year in Christmas at Our House, an annual fundraiser organized by the Women's Club at Saint Francis High School in Mountain View.
The home tour highlights private residences in different cities in different years. The tour tradition began in 1989, when members of the Women's Club approached school administration with the idea for a different type of fundraiser during the holidays. Proceeds benefit various aspects of the school, including fine arts, technology, classroom programs and structural renovations.
This year's festivities begin Dec. 2 at 5 p.m. with a twilight tour and gala preview party for $75. On Dec. 3 and 4, the homes are open for tours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets for day tours are $30 in advance or $35 on the tour day, if still available. Guests may enjoy entertainment by Saint Francis' student musicians and vocalists, a complimentary tea, a Christmas Shoppe boutique and Santa's Drawing Room, which is filled with holiday treasures given away via drawing to those who make donations. A luncheon is available for $15 by advance reservation.
Homeowners request visitors wear flat shoes only to protect the floors. Children 12 and older are welcome. For tickets or information, call 650.969.3508. Recorded information is available at 650.968.1213, ext. 701.
