    Concrete box gets some class

Stone masons Carmen Castaldo (left) and Antonio Salazar, of Millbrook Stone Company in San Jose, sand down a capital that will be fitted on the exterior corner of the building at 50 and 68 E. Main Street. The carved stone capitals were custom-made to fit the building, which will house Icing on the Cake bakery and Palm and Granite, a clothing store. Triple bands of limestone were also added to the building, which will feature a mahogany storefront. Property owner Dave Flick said the exterior work should ease residents' fears that they would be looking at a concrete box forever. Flick hopes to complete the project early next year.
