Two LG professionals join EMQ Foundation

Los Gatos resident Michele Izor and Los Gatos real estate agent Ron Minearo have both joined the Eastfield Ming Quong Foundation board of directors. Izor, who is director of the C.P.A. firm Crawford, Pimental & Co., will serve on the foundation's finance and planned giving committees. In the past, Izor has volunteered at the EMQ Strawberry Festival and served as a junior volunteer at the Village House and Garden Restaurant, whose profits benefit EMQ.

Minearo and his wife, Jan, have worked on EMQ's Strawberry Festival committee for six years. As volunteer chairman of the festival, Minearo is responsible for recruiting and scheduling the more than 1,000 volunteers it takes to run the event. Minearo is employed by Cornish & Carey.

The EMQ Foundation raises nearly $1 million annually to support EMQ's various programs for emotionally troubled children, teens and their families.

Local insurance agent recognized for service

Michael J. Logan of Los Gatos, who serves as district manager for Farmers Insurance, received in September the company's highest award for district managers and agents--membership in the Presidents Council.

Selection-management executives choose Presidents Council members based on strong customer service, sales production in all insurance lines--automobile, home, life and business--and overall professional competence and maintenance of Farmers Insurance standards.

Glendale Bank appoints new exec to serve in LG

Glendale Federal Bank has appointed Annette Reber as vice president and business banking officer for the communities of Los Gatos, San Jose and Morgan Hill. As business banking officer, Reber is responsible for developing business loan and deposit relationships for businesses in the these areas. She has more than 20 years of banking experience: Most recently, Reber was a vice president and manager for Saratoga National Bank, and before that she was a vice president and branch manager with First Interstate Bank.
