Forbes Mill Museum hosts annual '12 days of Christmas'

The 12 days of Christmas will again be filled with music and entertainment--at least in Los Gatos--thanks to the Los Gatos Museum Association's Sounds of the Season program. Organized by Forbes Mill Regional History Museum curator and longtime community volunteer Mary Foster, the 12-day celebration features afternoon or evening performances by local artists at Forbes Mill, which is located at 75 Church Street. The schedule is as follows:

* Dec. 12, 7 to 8:30 p.m.--New Pine Tones with Chip Curry present lively songs of the season, with Curry on banjo.

* Dec. 13, 2 to 3:30 p.m.--the 24-member Metropolitan String Ensemble plays.

* Dec. 14, 7:30 to 9 p.m.--Standing Stones Celtic duo plays traditional folk songs of the holiday season.

* Dec. 15, 2 to 3:30 p.m.--Lynn Rovin plays Christmas and Hanukkah songs on her harp.

* Dec. 16, 7 to 8:30 p.m.--Sidesaddle and Co. bring bluegrass, country and folk music to the holiday celebration.

* Dec. 17, 7 to 8:30 p.m.--Faith Lutheran Church's choir sings traditional carols and hymns.

* Dec. 18, 2 to 4:30 p.m.--Johnson and Schaus perform classical Christmas music on the piano and cello. The Galliard Recorder Consort also plays songs of the season.

* Dec. 19, 7 to 9 p.m.--Violinist April Farley and singer/pianist Mike Farley perform, along with the Alma Latter-day Saints Junior Choir.

* Dec. 20, 2 to 3:30 p.m.--The Evergreen String Duo plays Christmas classics.

* Dec. 21, 2 to 4:15 p.m.--Pianist Ryan Auer and the Rose Avenue Latter-day Saints Junior Choir perform.

* Dec. 22, 2:30 to 3:15 p.m.--Flutist Mimi Carlson joins vocalist John Lochner.

* Dec. 23, 2:30 to 4 p.m.--Susan Weller and Friend perform.
