Cobras strike for titles
The Los Gatos Cobras, an girls under-12 Class 3 soccer team, recently completed an outstanding season. They won their division championship with a 9-0-1 record, blanking opponents with a 45-0 goal differential, and they won the team championship at the South San Jose Thanksgiving Classic in Morgan Hill. The Cobras were 27-2-1 with 26 shutouts during the year, outscoring their opponents 107-6. Team members include Maddy Rose, Anita Athavale, Samantha Mason, Sarah Miceli, Lindsey Ackerman, Jill Goodwin, Kristy Barker, Rachelle Morris, Lauren Sanchez, Stacie Miller, Shoshana Newman-Gerhardt, Caroline Murphy, Jenna Clark, Jaimee Erickson, Amy Lautenbach, Angie Greene, Jennifer Miller, assistant coach Roger Mason and head coach Tim Miller.
