Appeals pack council agenda
The town council's Jan. 16 meeting already looks a lot like a planning commission meeting, with five appeals of commission decisions on the agenda.
With the exception of an appeal by a property owner on University Avenue, all the appeals were filed by neighbors of a projects.
Among them is the perennial Nina Court subdivision application, which will be heard by the council for a fourth time. The developer had appealed commission denials twice previously. This time the neighbors are appealing the commission's approval.
The council will also revisit the issue of 65 College Ave., where conflicting engineering reports led to the continuation of an appeal filed in August. Finally, the council will hear an appeal of the Pollard Road Longs Drug store approval and the approval of a wireless communication tower on Kensington Way.
The Jan. 16 meeting is at 7:30 in the council chambers.
