Bill and Bonnie Kay Calder and Michael Ruiz of Los Gatos announce the engagement of their daughter, Heidee Renee Ruiz, to Jeffrey Paul Blaisdell, the son of Frank and Sandy Blaisdell of Los Gatos.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Los Gatos High School and San Jose State University. She is a counselor with the Children's Shelter of Santa Clara County.

Her fiancé is a graduate of Los Gatos High School and Stanford University. He is a recruiter for Onsite Engineering in Livermore.

They plan a September 1998 wedding.

Freeman, Gould

John and Judy Freeman of Los Gatos announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Michelle, to Erik Stephen Gould, son of Stephen and Louise Gould of San Diego.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Los Gatos High School and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She is a general office assistant with Kaufman and Broad Home Corp., Los Angeles.

Her fiancé is a graduate of Valhalla High School and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He is director of operations for Theatrical Entertainment Systems, Los Angeles.

They plan a July 1998 wedding.
