Town council postpones its video decision

On Dec. 17, the Los Gatos Town Council discussed integrating a video system in the Town Council Chambers to broadcast the events that occur in the chamber, including town council meetings, on KCAT, Channel 15. The council looked at two different video production systems--one costing $162,500, another $250,000.

Because many council members said they needed more information about the different systems from KCAT Station Manager George Sampson, they decided to postpone the hearing until 2002.

The bond was passed last June.

Applications are available at the district office, 15766 Poppy Lane, or by calling 408.335.2000 to receive an application by mail. Applications are due Jan. 15.
