Council makes appointments

The Town Council made appointments recently, including naming Randi Chen to fill the single vacancy on the Parking Commission. Another candidate for parking was Barbara Drizin.

"We need more parking," Drizin said, echoing the sentiment of all applicants for the position. Asked where the money would come from, Drizin offered a creative solution: sponsorship. "We could name lots for high-tech businesses, like 3COM Parking Lot."

Selected for the Community Services Commission were Alastair Dallas, Michele Moretti, George Perazzo and Paul DuBois, who was reappointed.

Local business owner Shirley Henderson, long active in the Downtown Association, was appointed to the Redevelopment Advisory Committee.
