School bus to blink more School-bus drivers will be required to use the flashing red lights on the vehicle whenever children are getting on or off the bus, even if they are not crossing the street. Drivers should use extra caution around school buses after the start of the new year, education officials say, because of a new law which some critics claim may desensitize motorists to blinking red lights on buses.
