| The recently renovated Art Museum of Los Gatos was the setting Sept. 15 for a lively reception for the Brand New Beats Roadshow, the current exhibit of Beat Generation memorabilia from the collection of Jasmine Stockett, who inherited the assorted letters, posters, signed books, original art and ephemera from her father, William Arthur Stockett, otherwise known as "The Colonel." Guests particularly enjoyed mingling on the new patio with its fountain. |

| For the charity-minded members of the Sovereign Order of St. John of Jerusalem, Knights Hospitaller, Sept. 7 was the occasion for a Midsummer Knight's Dream, a dinner auction to raise funds for the San Juan Bautista Child Development Center. The event, which featured Renaissance-inspired music, took place at the Winterbourne estate of Stanford and Pamela Atwood in Monte Sereno. The Knights is an ecumenical, international Christian organization directly descended from the order of St. John founded in 1113 A.D. |
