Welfare Check—Sept. 12, 5:06 p.m. A passerby found a kayak along the creek bed of Los Gatos Creek Trail, about three-quarters of a mile from the bridge. The kayak was partially in the water and the person could see no way for someone to have gotten off the kayak. When police had arrived, the kayak's owner showed up. No report was taken.
Battery—Sept. 12, 12:10 p.m. The parking lot attendant at a N. Santa Cruz Avenue bank told a driver he wasn't allowed to park there. The driver became upset, yelled at the attendant and tried to run him over. He then drove off toward Main Street. The victim decided not to make a citizen's arrest.
Minor Possessing Alcohol—Sept. 11, 8:10 p.m. Police pursued two juvenile males and one juvenile female through Blossom Hill Park. The three were in possession of alcohol. All three were cited but not arrested.
Injured Person—Sept. 10, 12:03 p.m. An elderly woman tripped and fell on the sidewalk in front of a Los GatosSaratoga Road business. She sustained a strained knee and a laceration to her face. A report was taken.
Fire—Sept. 10, 8:01 a.m. On Daves Avenue, a resident was burning brush, and the pile was still smoldering the following day. Police found an open fire in the backyard and referred the situation to the fire department.
Meet the Citizen—Sept. 10, 2:31 a.m. A Massol Avenue resident called police, stating the FBI and CIA had thrown chemicals onto his house. The man's fears were unfounded and police said he seemed delusional.
Drunk in Public—Sept. 9, 12:55 p.m. A man walking on N. Santa Cruz Avenue appeared to be intoxicated. He was talking to himself about getting back at people. People arrested him for being drunk in public and took him to the sobering station.
