Town budget Sexual predator Telecommunications ordinance
After much number-crunching, the town of Los Gatos has come up with two budget scenarios for the new fiscal year that call for reduction in services throughout all departments.  More A Los Gatos police officer's investigation into the sexual relationship between 50-year-old Fallon Woodland of Missouri and a Los Gatos teen has led to a jail sentence and a $3,000 fine for Woodland.  More With the town of Los Gatos' moratorium on new telecommunications facilities due to expire in just a little over one month, town officials are racing to adopt an ordinance that will set standards and guidelines for such applications.  More

Bank robbery Senior of Distinction SOS saves the day
A man who robbed a bank outside of Los Gatos caused traffic to back up throughout town during a search that proved to be fruitless.  More Clare Dinno, a tireless community volunteer, was honored as a Senior of Distinction at a May 22 champagne reception. The award is co-sponsored by The Terraces of Los Gatos and the Los Gatos Weekly-Times.  More Los Gatos schools sent out an SOS cry, and the community has answered. In the Save Our Schools campaign's eight-week life, the Los Gatos Education Foundation managed to meet its $1 million goal for the Los Gatos Union School District.  More
