Los Gatos' landmark cats, Leo and Leona, were commissioned by Col. Erskine Scott Wood in 1920 and sculpted by Robert Paine. The cats can be seen from Highway 17 near The Cats restaurant just outside of town. Photographer George Sakkestad captured the image that Peter Max used to create this week's cover art.
