Town Code Violation—Nov. 19, 11:44 p.m. Someone complained to police about the refrigeration unit to the rear of Safeway on Union Avenue. The caller had spoken in the past with the store's manager, who said the unit could be shut off at 10 p.m. Police notified store employees again.
Vandalism—Nov. 19, 10:14 p.m. Someone reported his car had been vandalized while parked on Riviera Drive. The scene was clear when police arrived.
Theft—Nov. 19, 9:47 p.m. A caller on E. Main Street told police a wallet was stolen sometime during the day.
Hit and Run—Nov. 19, 7:55 p.m. The driver of a blue Toyota Highlander parked on N. Santa Cruz Avenue reported that someone had hit the car. The reporting party, who suspected a colleague of hitting the vehicle, decided to take care of the problem.
Theft—Nov. 19, 1:13 p.m. A caller said a woman had stolen some items and had left but was coming back to a laundromat on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. The caller managed to retrieve her belongings, which included DVDs, without incident.
Found Property—Nov. 19, 11:10 a.m. A caller on Los Gatos Boulevard called police after finding a box full of hypodermic needles in a vehicle that had been returned to the caller. The evidence was taken away by police.
Burglary—Nov. 19, 8:24 a.m. Someone had entered a facility on the property of a Hicks Road church at night. This was only discovered by staff the following morning when they returned to work and noticed that one phone was missing and some ice cream had been eaten. There were no signs of forced entry, and all doors were secure when staff arrived.
Trespassing—Nov. 19, 1:59 a.m. An uninvited woman was seen in the pool of a property on Winchester Boulevard. When police arrived, the woman fled, and officers gave chase. They lost sight of the woman on Winchester and had to scour the area. About half an hour later, police arrested another man in the parking lot of a condominium complex near Villa Felice and charged him with being under the influence of drugs. His motorcycle was towed.
