Town considers extending adopt- a-planter project

So many people signed up to adopt one of the 29 planters along Santa Cruz Avenue that there is now a waiting list. The planting began Nov. 10. Once the project gets fully under way, the town may look at other areas of Los Gatos to extend the adopt-a-planter program, said Mary Gillespie-Greenberg of the parks and public works department. Merchants and individuals weren't the only ones adopting planters; people from the same neighborhoods signed up as groups for the program.
