Rego Cacitti, 54, died July 21. He was a lifelong resident of Los Gatos.

Cacitti graduated from Los Gatos High School, and turned down college to join his father and Uncle Leo in the family business, Cacitti & Cacitti, where he learned the masonry trade. He developed into a master cement mason and craftsman. Cacitti proudly served 10 years in the U.S. Army Reserves with the rank of Drill Sergeant at Fort Polk, La., and Fort Ord, Calif. He was an avid fisherman, and he and his brother Sean McNiff and nephew Nathaniel spent many enjoyable days fishing and camping in the High Sierras. He was a fan of all sports, especially Giants baseball, Raiders football and NASCAR racing.

Cacitti is survived by his parents, Rego and Sarah Cacitti; sister, Sharon Cacitti; and niece and nephew Jesika and Nathaniel Stoll. Services were held at Los Gatos Memorial Park.
