| As it has done for 37 years, Valle Monte League welcomed the holiday season with its festive Christmas Tree Elegance, featuring a champagne brunch, office party, coffees, teas, a children's party and a grand ball between Nov. 30 and Dec. 3. Christmas trees, decorated by professional designers, offer the theme and the decor for the event which annually raises funds for several mental health agencies in the community. |

| The International Latino Film Festival San Francisco Bay Area-San Jose, which played at several local venues Nov. 1821, came with the mission of raising awareness of Latino culture and celebrating the Latino community. The opening night reception took place at the Mexican Heritage Plaza following a feature film, a short documentary and a question-and-answer session with director David Ventura Garcia. |
