Louis L. Bonfiglio
Louis L. Bonfiglio, a Saratoga resident of 30 years, died of natural causes on Dec. 21 at the age of 84.
A salesman for the Keyston Brothers leather goods firm for 52 years, he received numerous sales awards and served on the board of directors for 10 years. After retirement, Bonfiglio was an active member of Sons in Retirement, the Foothill Men's Garden Club and the Saratoga Historical Society.
Bonfiglio is survived by his wife, Helen Bonfiglio, son Gary Bonfiglio, daughter-in-law Carol A. Bonfiglio, granddaughter Sarah Louise Bonfiglio, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of Lee Banchero, Frances Holl and the late Laura Hallquist.
Funeral services were held Dec. 28 at the Saratoga-Cupertino Funeral Home, followed by a funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church in Saratoga and burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma.

Bill Bording
Bill Bording, a 43-year resident of Saratoga, died Dec. 7 following a brief illness. He was 78.
A lifetime specialist in transportation, Bording joined the Army's 759th Railway Operating Battalion during World War II, earning six stars for campaigns in North Africa and Europe and two personal citations.
After the war, he went to work for Consolidated Freightways Inc. in Oakland, then moved to San Jose to supervise the construction of the company's new terminal on Commercial Avenue. In 1955, he joined W.D. Wall Traffic Service.
When Wall sold the company in 1979, Bording became a consultant and later was an expert witness at hearings conducted by the Interstate Commerce Commission and the California Public Utilities Commission.
Bording had met his wife, Gloria, at a Winnemucca dance in 1941. While he was in the Army, she served in the Navy Women's Auxiliary Volunteer Emergency Service. They corresponded throughout the war and were married in December 1945.
The Bordings had six children. Son David died in 1993. Bording is survived by daughters Loma of Anchorage and Brinka of Saratoga; sons William of San Jose, Matthew of Santa Cruz and Benjamin of Saratoga; and grandsons James, David and Eric Bording.
Services have been held, with inurnment in the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery. Donations in Bording's name may be made to Second Harvest Food Bank, 750 Curtner Ave., San Jose, 95125.
Clara Martha Geraci
Clara Martha Geraci, a Saratoga resident since 1979, died Dec. 26 at the age of 95.
Born Clara Martha DeGanck in Belgium on Nov. 27, 1900, she came to America with her family by way of Canada in 1908. Traversing Canada in a covered wagon, she arrived in Washington State, where she lived for three years before moving to Santa Clara Valley in 1912. There she married Louis Geraci, a San Jose native, and eventually settled in Cupertino, where they owned a fruit orchard.
Louis Geraci worked for Del Monte food products for over 50 years. After his retirement, he joined the Del Monte International Group, and he and his wife traveled to Panama, Mexico, South Africa, the Bahamas, Italy and Australia, setting up new canneries for the company.
After her husband's death, Clara Geraci moved to Saratoga, living with her daughter Marie and son-in-law Frank Lawrence. In her later years she loved to bake and to sew, said Rhonda Lawrence, wife of her grandson, Kerry Lawrence.
In addition to her daughter and son-in-law, she is survived by her grandsons, Kerry and Jerry Lawrence of Saratoga; their wives Rhonda and Cynthia, and five great grandchildren, Benjamin, Matthew, Michael, Sean and Meghan.
Funeral services were held Dec. 29 at Darling-Fischer Mortuary in Los Gatos, followed by burial at Oak Hill Cemetery.
