Sanborn Park hosts another YSI night hike
The Youth Science Institute has scheduled a winter night hike in Sanborn County Park in Saratoga for Jan. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The hike, which is open to adults, teenagers and children, begins at the YSI's Nature Center. Led by Nature Center manager Patricia Kucker, the hike takes participants through the evening woods and teaches them to use their senses in identifying plants, trees and elusive nocturnal animals. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Cost is $8 per person.
The nonprofit YSI provides science education classes, hikes and day camps. Night hike reservations are required. For more information, call 408.867.6940.
