Saratoga News Sports Briefs Pitching Clinic Former local fast-pitch superstar Whitney Floyd will host lessons and clinics for girls softball pitchers. Floyd starred locally at Lynbrook High School and went on to All-American status at UC-Berkeley. She is on the coaching staff at Santa Clara University. For more information, call 554-5063. All-Comers Meets Los Gatos will host a series of all-comers track and field meets on Saturdays, 12:30 p.m., through Feb. 27. Athletes will compete in open, masters men, women, boys' and girls' divisions. The cost is $3 for athletes and $2 for spectators. Proceeds go toward track resurfacing at the high school. Shrine Bowl Run The annual East-West Shrine Game returns to Stanford Stadium on Jan. 10, and so does the East-West Shrine Bowl Run. Pony-Colt Signups The Saratoga Pony-Colt baseball league is holding signups for players ages 13-16. Pony League is open to players ages 13-14, and Colt League is for players ages 15-16. Players ages 9-10 attend at 7 p.m., and players ages 11-12 attend at 8 p.m. Preseason arm conditioning, pitching fundamentals, arm care and defensive skills will be covered in the program.
