    Photo: Sato wins mat crown

    Redwood Middle School eighth- grader Adam Sato became the first wrestler in school history to win a Santa Clara County championship when he finished first in the heavyweight division at the finals held Dec. 10 at the King's Academy in Sunnyvale. Sato won a second straight league title and took the West Valley Section crown before winning the county championship. Other Redwood placers inclued Alex Hsieh, third at 120 pounds, and Kai Kawahara, fourth at 75 pounds, and Reese Griffith, fourth at 155. Pictured at left are (l-r) coach T.J.
