SHERIFF'S REPORT

Auto burglary--Between Dec. 17 at 9 a.m. and Dec. 18 at 9 a.m., a burglar took a stereo and equalizer, worth $600, from a 1986 Toyota parked on Craigen Circle.

Auto burglaries--Between Dec. 20 at 9 p.m. and Dec. 22 at 4:30 p.m., burglars took radio and stereo equipment from three cars parked on Via Madronas Drive near Via Arriba Drive.

Auto vandalism--Dec. 18 between 6 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Someone cut the plastic window out of the convertible vinyl top of a 1990 Jeep Wrangler parked on Regan Lane.

Attempted suicide--Dec. 19 at 7:30 p.m. A Saratoga resident tried to commit suicide at a hillside home. The sheriff's department declined to give further details.

Residential burglary--Between Dec. 23 at 6:30 p.m. and Dec. 24 at 8:20 a.m., a burglar climbed through the rear window of a Lutheria Way residence after cutting phone lines to the house, and took jewelry and silverware.

Petty theft--Dec. 24 at 11 a.m. A shoplifter took a $250 leather backpack with gold studs from Exclusively Yours on Big Basin Way while an accomplice distracted the clerk.

Grand theft--Between Dec. 19 at 9 p.m. and Dec. 20 at 9 p.m., a camera and video camera were stolen from a Ravenwood Drive house.

Auto vandalism--Dec. 26 between 1 and 2 a.m. A vandal smashed the rear window of a 1994 Acura Integra along Saratoga Creek Drive. The owner said the damage would cost $500 to fix.
