    Rotary screens art works

Screening of artwork for the 43th annual Saratoga Rotary Art Show takes place Jan. 27, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Campus Center at West Valley College, 14000 Fruitvale Ave. in Saratoga. Art forms can include paintings in all mediums, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, photography, fiber arts and crafts.

This year's judges are Charles Escott, a professional jewelry consultant; Carol Hutchinson, a professional artist who specializes in oil painting; Lissa Jones, a corporate art consultant; and David Ogle, a sculpture and instructor of fine arts.

The Saratoga Rotary Art Show is always held the first Sunday of May, on the West Valley campus. This year, it falls on May 6. The all-day affair also includes food, drinks and entertainment.

Proceeds benefit the Rotary Trust Fund, which supports a variety of organizations and groups, including Saratoga High School, the Saratoga Senior Center, Villa Montalvo, CityTeam Ministries, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the American Red Cross. For more information, or to obtain a screening application, call art show artist coordinator Mary Fleischli at 408.725.2434.
