    All-Comer Meets

    Los Gatos will host winter all-comer track and field meets Saturday through Feb. 24 at the high school track. The pole vault competition begins at noon with other field events at 12:30 p.m. and running events at 1 p.m. The cost is $3 for unlimited events and $2 for spectators.

    Los Gatos will also host a track and field rules clinic for starters and officials on Jan. 20, 9 a.m., at the high school track. The cost is $20.

    Strikkers Softball

    The Strikkers, a girls fast-pitch softball organization for players in the under-14, under-16 and under-18 age groups, will hold tryouts this month.

    The girls under-18 squad will host tryouts on Jan. 21 at Westmont High School. Pitchers and catchers should report at 10 a.m. and all other players at noon. For more information, call Irv Witham at 408.263.7483 or email irsuwit@aol.com or call Jon Hennig at 408.374.1184.

    Youth Soccer Registration

    South Bay Youth Soccer will hold registration on Jan. 13, Jan. 27 and Feb. 10 (10 a.m.-2 p.m. each day) at the stadium snack bar at the Campbell Community Center for the following age groups for boys and girls: under-6, under-8, under-10, under-12 and under-14 (ages determined as of July 31, 2001).

    The season runs March through June, and the fee of $65 includes uniforms, a photo package and award.

    De Anza Force

    The De Anza Force Soccer Club will hold tryouts in January for CYSA Class 1 and Class 3 teams. Teams will play the spring season, then continue into the fall of 2001.

    Age groups, as of the fall of 2001, are for boys and girls under-9, under-10, under-11 and under-12 teams.

    Pitching Clinics

    Pre-season pitching and arm conditioning clinics will be held Wednesdays Jan. 31 through March 14 in the gym at West Valley Community College in Saratoga. Clinics will be held for players ages 9-10 at 6:30 p.m. and for players ages 11-12 at 7:30 p.m.

    Baseball Camps

    Baseball and softball camps for Little League through high school age players are currently being offered by Hardkte World of Baseball.
