Hakone Gardens offers workshop on earth energies

As part of the various art classes it offers to the community, Saratoga's Hakone Gardens, at 21000 Big Basin Way, presents a workshop titled Earth Energies on Feb. 11, from 1 to 5 p.m. Instructor Sam Holland will teach participants how to understand the source of the Earth's continually changing energies and how to bring them into a state of balance within oneself. Meditation and dowsing--use of a divining rod--are among the methods Holland will teach. A former Los Gatan, Holland has written Meditation for Transformation and Sacred Places and is the founder of nonprofit Foundation for the Recovery of Ancient Wisdom.
