    Realtor achieves prestigious honor

    Susan Sullinger of Coldwell Banker Realty has received the Certified Residential Specialist designation by the Council of Residential Specialists, putting her in an elite category of real estate agents. Only the top five percent in the country receive the CRS designation. Those who have must complete lengthy courses in advanced training and must show a wealth of knowledge about residential real estate.

    The CRS designation marks the highest achievement for real estate sales associates.

    Former Saratogan is named hospital CEO

    Former Saratogan Stephen Erixon was recently named chief executive officer of Baxter County Regional Hospital, a private nonprofit hospital in Mountain Home, Ariz. He assumed his new role Dec. 31.

    Erixon, who previously served as the hospital's associate administrator, succeeds CEO William Anderson, who retired.

    Erixon has more than 20 years of hospital administration experience. He earned his master of health administration degree from Duke University and a bachelor of arts degree in business economics from UC-Santa Barbara. He graduated from Saratoga High School in 1974.

    Merger completion has been announced

    As of the close of business on Jan. 5, the Saratoga and Los Gatos branches of Saratoga National Bank officially became branches of San Jose National Bank. The Saratoga National Bank and San Jose National Bank Financial Corp. merged, taking the name San Jose National Bank.

    The Saratoga National Bank facility in San Jose will be consolidated into the existing San Jose National Bank branch on N. Market Street in San Jose on Jan. 31. Five Saratoga Bank directors have been named to the board of directors for SJNB.
