Morris S. Ferguson
Morris S. Ferguson, 95, a former Saratogan, passed away Dec. 20 in Reno, where he has resided for six years.
He was born in Salt Lake City on June 19, 1901. He married Marcella Taylor, who died in 1980, and later married Barbara L. Nelson, who died in 1988.
Ferguson graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in automotive engineering and was employed as an engineer with U.S. Smelting for more 25 years. He was also in the U.S. Air Force for 25 years and was an active member of the Masonic Lodge.
He and his late wife Barbara established endowments at several colleges.
His remains were interred at Greenwood Memorial Park in San Diego.
Marta Dylewski
Marta Dylewski of Saratoga, a teacher for 16 years, died Dec. 31 of natural causes.
Survivors are niece Doris Urban and grand-nephew Edmund G. Urban, both of Palos Park, Ill.
A funeral mass was held Jan. 6 at Sacred Heart Church in Saratoga, and interment was at Madronia Cemetery.
Mrs. Dylewski was born in Chicago, Ill., on March 28, 1911, and was a graduate of the University of Chicago.
She taught in the Chicago public school system and in the Saratoga area as a substitute teacher, and she was a representative for World Book Enclopedia.
She and her husband, Thaddeus, who passed away in 1981, moved to Saratoga in 1964. He was an Army Air Force major and a physicist at Lockheed.
Alan John Bronzich
Alan John Bronzich of Saratoga died Dec. 28 at Good Samaritan Hospital of natural causes.
He leaves his wife, Janice Bronzich of Saratoga, brothers Ralph Bronzich of Saratoga and Daniel Bronzich of Plymouth, Calif., sisters Martha Woosley and Olga Dominy of San Jose and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services have been held. Interment was at Madronia Cemetery.
