Noel Brown
Noel John Brown of Aptos, formerly a longtime resident of Los Gatos and Saratoga, died Jan. 1, at the age of 91.
Born Aug. 10, 1909 in Dunedin, New Zealand, Brown lived in the Los Gatos and Saratoga areas for 45 years. During this time, he was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Los Gatos Brown was involved in the founding and building of the Good Samaritan Hospital and was also the founder of Noel J. Brown Mfg., which provided state-of-the-art prosthetic hands, arms and legs for amputees.
Family and friends remember Brown as being generous, outgoing, fun-loving and a hard worker.
Brown was predeceased by his wife, Agnes. Survivors include daughter Pat Linquist of San Luis Obispo; sons Robert Brown of Santa Cruz and Glenn Brown of Aptos; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Josephine Fallico
Former Los Gatan Josephine F. Fallico, who had been living in the Mt. Eden Road area of Saratoga, died Jan. 1, following a long illness. She was 88.
Born Sept. 17, 1912 in Chicago, Ill, Fallico came to California with her husband, Dr. Arturo B. Fallico, in 1949. He worked as a philosophy professor at the then-San Jose State College for many years, while she was a social worker with Santa Clara County, also for many years.
Survivors include daughter Julie Di Perna of San Jose and sons Franc Fallico of Anchorage, Alaska, Pete Fallico of San Jose and Arturo Fallico Jr. of Saratoga.
