    Sheriff's Report

    Residential Burglary--Jan. 2, 9:45 p.m., on Live Oak Lane. A burglar entered a home through the master-bedroom door and took jewelry. There are no suspects or witnesses.

    Stolen Trailer--Jan. 4, 12:15 p.m., on Quito Road. A Quito Road resident agreed to store a friend's trailer on his property. When the friend later came to reclaim the trailer, the Quito Road resident said he did not have it and does not know where it is.

    Residential Burglary--Jan. 4, 4:20 p.m., on Fruitvale Avenue. A safe containing gold coins and cash was reported taken from a resident's bedroom sometime between Dec. 6 and Dec. 10. There were no signs of forced entry into the bedroom, and jewelry and a bottle of change next to the safe were untouched. The victim reported 20 or more people had access to the home during the time the safe was taken. Fingerprints and photographs were taken at the scene.

    Vandalism--Jan. 5, 3 p.m., on Cox Avenue. A mailbox was reported smashed. There are no suspects.

    Possession of Marijuana--Jan. 5, 5:50 p.m., on Saratoga-Los Gatos Road. A sheriff's deputy smelled marijuana coming from a person's vehicle after stopping the car for not having a front license plate. The deputy searched the vehicle and found 10.7 grams of marijuana. The person was cited and released.

    Possession of Marijuana--Jan. 7, 8:25 p.m., Johnson at Prospect Road. A person stopped for a traffic violation admitted to sheriff's deputies he had been smoking marijuana and had some in his vehicle. Deputies found marijuana packaged for sale in the car.

    Vandalism--Jan. 9, 10:50 a.m., on Paul Street. A woman reported that an unknown suspect threw a bottle at her vehicle while it was parked in front of her residence, shattering the rear window.

    Vandalism--Jan. 9, 2 a.m., on Thelma Avenue. A resident reported an unknown suspect threw a rock through the rear window of a vehicle.
