Kay Duffy teaches watercolor techniques Feb. 3 and 17, March 3 and 17, with a new series beginning April 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; $75 for six classes or $15 per class.
Grace Townsend teaches Japanese quilt-making on Mondays, Feb. 3-28 and March 3-10, from 10 a.m. to noon.
A collaboration between Hakone and Triton Museum of Art offers drawing and painting studio sessions Feb. 4-25, March 4-11 and May 6-June 10, 9:30 a.m.-noon; $60 per session or $12 drop-in.
Judith Marshall teaches the monoprint process for both single- and multiple-plate printing on March 8 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Fee is $40, plus a $5 materials fee.
Jane Burnham conducts watercolor workshops March 13-15, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; $45 for one day or $80 for two days.
Jane Hofstetter conducts a watercolor class April 4-5, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; $45 per day or $75 for both days.
Bruce and Lynn Bowen teach a class on photographing Hakone Gardens on April 6 and 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; $100.
Linda Mau teaches papermaking on April 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; $5.
Hiroshi Kondo, a visiting potter from Kyoto, Japan, will be at Hakone on April 20 and 27, demonstrating his techniques with porcelain clay; $15 per day.
Michael Dylan Welch teaches a haiku poetry workshop on May 4, with beginners from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and continuing students from 1 to 5 p.m. The fee for beginners is $35; for continuing students, $20.
Marta Szoboszlay teaches a pastel workshop on May 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; $40.
Marie Gabrielle offers a "plein air" watercolor class May 8-9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; $45 per day or $75 for both days.
Akiko Kikuchi of Tokyo teaches sumi-e painting techniques May 21-22 and May 28-29 as part of a cultural exchange, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; $45 per class.
Luanne Nieman teaches a watercolor workshop featuring sumi-e brush painting on June 13, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; $40.
