Vehicle burglary--3:30 p.m., Jan. 15 on Melinda Circle. Police responded to a call from a woman who reported her car broken into and her portable CD player stolen. Police said the thief used spark plugs to break the window of her car.
Residential burglary--5:25 p.m., Jan. 15 on Reid Lane. Police responded to a call from a man who reported various tools missing from his garage, including a saber saw and an electronic router. According to the victim, the theft occurred between Jan. 9 and Jan. 15.
Indecent exposure--6 p.m., Jan. 16 at Paseo Prasada and Martha Avenue. An unidentified male pulled his car in front of a 10-year-old girl on a bicycle and exposed himself, according to sheriff's reports. The girl identified the man as Spanish-speaking and in his early 20s. His car was described as a light blue or silver hatchback.
Child abuse--4:55 p.m., Jan. 18 in Redwood Estates. Deputies responded to a report of child abuse. A 12-year-old was taken to a children's shelter after telling police he was afraid to go home.
