Cancer Society begins annual daffodil campaign
The American Cancer Society is continuing its annual Daffodil Days this year to raise money for cancer research, education and patient services.
Anyone can purchase a bundle or basket of daffodils for their home, office or a Gift of Hope--a daffodil bouquet in a vase delivered anonymously to a cancer patient. Prices range from $7 to $110, and the society will provide free delivery to one location for orders of $50 or more.

Haneke Chorale debuts with Campbell concert
The Donald Haneke Chorale will debut with a winter concert Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Campbell. The chorale will present the Mozart Requiem, featuring soloists Cara Calkins, soprano; Diana Haneke, alto; John Jordan, tenor; and Stan Neff, bass. They will also perform the Fauré Requiem, with soloists Kristin Gustavson, soprano, and Larry Albright, baritone.
The church is located at 1675 Winchester Blvd., near the corner of Winchester Boulevard and Hamilton Avenue. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $15 for adults and $12 for students and seniors. Call 354-1185 for more information.
'Spotlight on Broadway' at West Valley College
The San Jose Wind Symphony will present "Spotlight on Broadway," a concert of works from the musical stage, Feb. 11 at 3 p.m. in the West Valley College Theater.
Darrell Johnston will conduct the Wind Symphony in selections from Phantom of the Opera, A Chorus Line, Porgy and Bess and My Fair Lady. Vocalists Michael Morris, Barbara Savage and Beverly Blount, all frequent performers for local theater groups, will sing with the symphony.
