    Camera Cinema owners carry on art house tradition established by Mason Shaw at the Saratoga Theater


    Saratoga has played no small part in Santa Clara County's art film history. The late Mason Shaw, who was a longtime Saratogan, was an art theater pioneer: first with his Saratoga theater, a Quonset hut he built on Third Street and Big Basin Way (later renamed the Vitaphone), and then when he aquired the Towne, the Burbank, the Gay and Camera One theaters, establishing an art theater chain.   More
