    Sheriff's Report

    Soliciting without a permit--Jan. 13, 5:40 p.m., on Swarthmore Drive. A person selling magazines door to door was arrested for violating a city ordinance and booked into the main jail.

    Vandalism--Jan. 13, 6 p.m., on Quito Road. A vehicle parked on the street had its rear window smashed with an unknown object.

    Reckless Driving--Jan. 13, 6 p.m., on Paseo Presada Saratoga. A person was stopped by a sheriff's deputy for failing to stop at a stop sign and driving 60 mph in a 25 mph zone. The deputy discovered the person was driving with a suspended driver's license.

    Vehicle Vandalism--Jan. 16, 10:30 a.m., on Big Basin Way. Sometime between 1 and 3 a.m., a resident heard a loud bang. In the morning, the resident discovered the front tire of her motor home was flat. There is no information on a suspect.

    Check Forgery--Jan. 16, 11:30 a.m., on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. A company issued fraudulent checks to several employees.

    Vandalism--Jan. 16, 4 p.m., in Kevin Moran Park. An anonymous citizen alerted sheriff's deputies to vandalism in the park. Deputies found tire tread marks and damaged sod to a large portion of the grass.
