Roy and Gay Crawford of Saratoga announce the engagement of their daughter, Katharine Casey Crawford, to Zachary Joseph Lynch, son of Daniel Lynch of Los Altos and Bernice Bajada of San Jose.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Castilleja School and UCLA. She is currently a graduate student in neuroscience at UC-San Francisco.

Her fiancé is a graduate of Monta Vista High School and UCLA, where he earned both a bachelor's and a master's degree. He works in marketing at Maxager Technology Inc. in San Rafael.
