Alumni donate library books

Students from Saratoga's Oak Street School--past and present--got together recently in the school library, where books have been purchased thanks to the summertime all-alumni reunions that have been held in the past few years. Perusing some recent additions are (from left) Emily Harter, 9; Hannah Harter, 5; Jeff Gast, 8; Eric Gast, 5; Erin Nakaji, 6; Mary Lou Butera, Saratoga School Alumni reunion group chairwoman for 1997; and Patti Reschnar, who is chairing the 1998 reunion. The 1997 reunion group donated $1,000 to the school's library after the annual alumni reunion last August, and alumni representatives made another donation of $1,000 last week. The event, held at Wildwood Park, draws graduates from all over the nation. A flat fee is charged for the reunion and refreshments, and T-shirts and coffee mugs are sold to help raise money. All profits from the reunion are given to the school to purchase books.
