Lion dance will highlight the banquet at The Terraces

Members of the community are invited to join residents of The Terraces when they celebrate Chinese New Year's, the Year of the Tiger, at a banquet on Saturday, Feb. 21, from noon to 2 p.m. at The Terraces, 800 Blossom Hill Road.

Entertainment will include a traditional lion dance performed by East West Kung Fu, a group that will also perform in San Francisco's Chinese New Year's parade.

Those born during the Year of the Tiger are thought to be sensitive, given to deep thinking and capable of great sympathy. The Year of the Tiger has come around in 1914, '26, '38, '50, '62, '74, '86 and '98.

Cost for the lunch, which features a variety of Chinese dishes, is $10. Reservations are due no later than Feb. 13. Call 356-1006 for more information or reservations.
