Villa Montalvo hosts Valentine's Day ball

Looking for a romantic spot to take your Valentine? How about the Valentine Ball at Montalvo?

The heart-deco-style ball will be held Feb. 14. Champagne and hors d'oeuvres will be served at 6:30 p.m. Dinner, catered by Ellie Louise of San Francisco, will be served at 8 p.m., followed by dancing to David Dumont's Li'l Big Band.

The proceeds from the $150 tickets will benefit Montalvo's various arts programs, including the Artist Residency Program, the Gallery at Montalvo and Community Outreach activities. The evening will include a silent auction and raffle with prizes, including transportation for two in business class to Paris and romantic trips for two to Maui and New York City. The chairs of the ball are Lynda Evjen and MarylouTaylor.

Villa Montalvo, California's historic estate for the arts, is located at 15400 Montalvo Rd. in Saratoga. As a nonprofit organization, Montalvo aims to advance appreciation for the arts, music and the environment through programs and the preservation of the historic 1912 estate.
