Three Saratogans will be among those honored Feb. 10 at the National League of American Pen Women's annual Celebrity Luncheon in Los Gatos.
Each year, the Pen Women honor qualified men and women in the community for outstanding achievements in letters, art and music. This year's honorees include Saratoga artist Bonnie Stone and writers Ludmilla Alexander and Michelle Gabriel.
Also being recognized as achievers are artists Collette Colosimo of Sunnyvale and Mattison Fitzgerald of San Jose; writers Beverly Morgan and Mari Lu Robbins of San Jose; and choral conductor Charlene Archibeque of San Jose.
The luncheon begins with a reception at 11 a.m., followed by lunch at noon. The San Jose State Choraliers, conducted by Archibeque, will provide musical entertainment. The Choraliers were the 1994 Grand Prix winners at the choral festival in Tallin, Estonia, and the 1991 first-prize winners at the choral festival in Llangollen, Wales.
A raffle and silent auction of items and services donated by local businesses will be held to raise funds for scholarships to be awarded to deserving high-school students in letters, art and music.
Tickets are $20 each. To reserve, call 867-4089 or send a check to NLAPW, 13561 Old Tree Way, Saratoga, 95070. Enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope for ticket return.
The Santa Clara County Branch of the National League of American Pen Women, founded in 1922, meets the first Saturday of each month in the Saratoga area.
