SHERIFF'S REPORT

Possession of firearms--Jan. 14, 5:30 p.m. After questioning two San Mateo County residents on Congress Springs Road near Pierce Road, deputies discovered two loaded semi-automatic handguns in the residents' car. Both were arrested for possession of concealed weapons and possession of loaded firearms. The driver was also wanted in San Mateo County for skipping a court appearance related to traffic violations.

Vandalism--Jan. 24, between 5 and 10:30 p.m. Vandals 'tagged' the wall at the northwest corner of Seagull Way and Cox Avenue and the "Green Briar" sign at the end of Seagull Way with graffiti.

False identification--Jan. 18, 3:45 a.m. A deputy stopped a suspect for not having a license plate on the front of his car. As it turns out, he didn't have a driver's license, either, and was arrested for driving without one. The suspect did have a fake resident alien card. The man, who refused to give his name to the deputy, was identified after the deputy ran his fingerprints through the sheriff's computer system.

Residential burglary--Jan. 26, 8:55 p.m. on El Camino Grande. Someone lifted a phone from a home. The suspect entered an unlocked side door of a garage and removed a cellular phone from an unlocked vehicle.

Domestic violence--Jan. 27, 9:45 p.m. on Braemar Drive. A man reportedly used his hands to strike a woman in the face. Although he denied striking the victim, sheriff's deputies arrested him.
