Cooks invited to contribute to new California cookbook

The Best of the Best nationwide cookbook series is coming to California and wants to have the best cookbooks culled from local clubs, schools, congregations, restaurants and individuals for possible inclusion in an upcoming publication. Best of the Best from California: Selected Recipes from California's Favorite Cookbooks is scheduled to be printed later in 1999; all cookbooks are eligible for consideration as long as they are still in print.

There is no cost to be included in the book--its editors simply choose the best from the variety they receive. If a group's or individual's cookbook is selected, its recipes will be included in Best of the Best from California. The cookbook's name, photo, description and ordering information will also be included for readers.

Editors Gwen McKee and Barbara Moseley have already determined from preliminary research that California contains many good cooks and tasty recipes, due in part of the large mix of cultures and traditions in the state.

For more information or to obtain a free brochure about the cookbook series, call Quail Ridge Press at 1-800-343-1583.
