Saratoga NewsSheriffís ReportLost Passports--Jan. 19, 10 a.m., at the San Francisco Airport. Both Saratoga residents were on a shuttle flight from Los Angeles. When they got off the plane, they forgot their passports on one of the seats. They do not know their passport numbers. Burglary--Jan. 18, 8:45 p.m., on Obrad Drive. A resident left his garage door open for approximately 30 minutes during the morning. Later, the man discovered his 24-speed bike missing from the garage. A $40 helmet was also taken. Vandalism--Jan. 18, 11:45 a.m., on Scotland Drive. An unknown suspect shattered the driver's side window of a woman's truck. The truck was parked in front of her house. Battery--Jan. 15, 9:32 a.m., on Prospect Road. A student brought her brother, who's not a student at the school, to her high school to protect her against students who were giving her problems the day before. The girl's brother confronted one student, and a teacher tried to separate the two. The girl's brother pushed the teacher away and said, "Do you want me to hit you?" He was transported and booked into the main jail for assault and battery. Deputies say he used offensive words to provoke a violent reaction and disrupt school.
