Sam Quicke, 11, of Saratoga recently placed 35th in the U.S. Olympic Trials for gymnastics. Sam, a seventh-grade student at Redwood Middle School, practices some 16 hours a week with coach Chris Brown at the California Sports Center in San Jose. He is the son of Bob and Janie Quicke of Saratoga. "He loves gymnastics," says his mother.
