Measure B projects proceeding as planned

    Saratoga Resident a distinguished scholar

    Saratoga Resident Jason C. Flatley was added to the distinguished scholar's list for the Fall 1999 semester at Claremont-McKenna College for maintaining an A-average.

    He is a sophomore mathematics-music major at the private liberal arts college.

    SHS graduates on Colby College dean's list

    Saratoga High School graduates Ann S. Birenbaum and Maren A. Cornett were added to the Colby College Dean's list for their academic achievement during the Fall 1999 semester.

    Birenbaum is a senior and a history and physics major and Cornett is a sophomore at the Waterville, Maine, college.

    Practice SAT-1 test to be given at SHS

    Students can find out how they score on the SAT-1 with a practice test to be held March 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Saratoga High School library. The test will be administered by staff from The Princeton Review who will return March 16 with results and a brief presentation of the answers.

    Students must sign up by March 7 at the college and career center. Juniors and sophomores will receive first priority.

    New students find out about school activities

    An evening, designed specifically for families whose children will be freshmen at Saratoga High School in the fall, will allow parents and students to preview electives and extracurricular activities offered at SHS.

    All interested parents and students can check out athletics, school clubs, music, computer, art and journalism classes and student government Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. in the large gym.

    Argonaut students show off talent

    The annual Argonaut School variety show will be held March 24 at 7 p.m. and March 25 at 5 p.m. at the school. Students will sing, play instruments, dance, do gymnastics and lip-sync. There will be an act by the staff and a fifth-grade finale.

    The theme this year is, "A New Day." Tickets are $3 each and will go on sale soon at the school office.
