Sheriff's Report

Vandalism--Feb. 9, 9:25 a.m., on Chalet Lane. A resident reported to deputies that his car, which had been parked in his driveway for the past year with a cover on it, has a dent in the roof. The resident's wife just noticed the dent, and it is unknown how it got there.

Grand Theft--Feb. 6, 9:30 p.m., on Bonnet Way. The victim told deputies that she had her son's 17-year-old friend helping her move. They placed a box containing $13,000 in cash in her car trunk, along with a jewelry box containing $10,000 to $20,000 in jewelry. The helper left in a white vehicle, and the victim noticed her boxes of cash and jewelry were gone.

Petty Theft--Feb. 5, 4:20 p.m., on Bonnet Way. The victim hired a moving company to move her furniture. She had personal checks in a desk drawer that was taped shut. When the victim later untaped the desk drawers, she found the drawers had been switched from their original positions and three books of personal checks were missing. The only suspects are the three moving men.

Grand Theft--Feb. 5, 3:15 p.m., on Cox Avenue. The victim discovered that a 12-foot aluminum ramp was missing from his unsecured storage shed outside his office. The $900 ramp could be folded and had handles like a suitcase.

Vandalism--Feb. 3, 4:30 p.m., on Horseshoe Drive. A resident reported that she found two sets of tire marks on her front lawn. The tire marks led from the street approximately six to eight feet up the front lawn.
