Eugene F. Heuer
Former Saratogan Eugene F. Heuer, 92, died Feb. 7 in Sebastopol.
Born in Terre Haute, Ind., Heuer lived in Saratoga from 1943 to 1971. He worked as a banker in Los Angeles for 29 years and then as a mechanic at Barners Garage in Saratoga. While he resided here, he was a member of Sacred Heart Church and was fire chief of the Saratoga Volunteers. His hobbies included fishing and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Heuer of Santa Rosa; his children, Walter E. Heuer of Willows and Jean A. Wright of Cupertino; his stepdaughter, Phyllis Bazzano of Santa Rosa; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild.
A memorial mass was held Feb. 10 at Resurrection Parish. Contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society
