Measure G news available online
The Saratoga News and the Save Our Neighborhoods Initiative Committee this month began putting information about Measure G at two unrelated sites online.
The Measure G conference can be found on Virtual Valley, an online service operated by Metro Newspapers and public service television station KTEH (Channel 54). Metro Newspapers owns Saratoga News.
The conference contains Saratoga News articles about the measure, the official ballot arguments and rebuttals from proponents and opponents of the measure, and the city attorney's analysis.
Readers can register their opinions with us by posting messages and through an online straw poll and join us March 7 for an online discussion with authors of the initiative and its opponents.
On election night, the conference will provide regular updates as the votes are counted.
Voters can log onto Virtual Valley Community Network via modem by dialing 999-0966. Instructions for logging in over the Internet can be found online.
The Save Our Neighborhoods Initiative Committee has created a World Wide Web page that includes the ballot arguments, answers to frequently asked questions, a SierraClub commentary and other information. Those who still have questions for the Measure G committee can send them via email to measureg@best.com.
