The National Conference of Christians and Jews has awarded him its Community Service for Exemplary Leadership plaque. The Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce has bestowed its Leadership Excellence Award on him, and the Japanese-American Citizen League has named him Citizen of the Biennium.
