Loading the pasta and several varieties of salad for the trip to the shelter are Paul Piligian, a member of Saratoga Presbyterian Church, Le Mouton Noir owner Jeff Breslow and Warren Nelson, also a member of the church. In 1989, the church began preparing and serving a monthly dinner at the shelter; in 1992, a number of Saratoga's restaurants joined in the effort. Participating restaurants, in addition to Le Mouton Noir, are Bella Saratoga, Florentine Trattoria, La Mere Michelle, Mandarin Chef, Jake's Pizza, Viaggio Ristorante, the Plumed Horse, Dolce Vita and Sent Sovi.
